The purpose of this award is to recognize those individuals making outstanding contributions to the Netherland Dwarf or the Club at a local, state, or regional level. The nominee need only be an individual who has made a noticeable impact on the Fancy by the work they have performed. The ANDRC wishes to recognize those members deserving of the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD.
Following is a list of general criteria for the issuance of this award. The nominee does not have to meet all of the guidelines as specified to qualify for the award. The nominee does to have to meet all of the guidelines as specified to qualify for the award.
The criteria includes:
THE NOMINEE:
- Is an ANDRC member in good standing.
- Has been an ANDRC member for at least 5 years.
- Has assisted in organizing a Specialty club to promote the industry.
- Has served a club, fair or 4-H rabbit program where Dwarfs were featured for at least ten (10) years.
- Has helped organize or been an active participant in a successful judge’s conference where Dwarfs are featured.
- Has developed a variety that has been of interest and benefit to the ANDRC.
- Has helped organize or been an active participant in a successful Netherland Dwarf seminar.
- Has performed other outstanding services for the Fancy.
HAS DONATED UNSELFISHLY OF TIME, EFFORT, OR FINANCES TO BENEFIT THE FANCY.
The applications are to be submitted to any Regional Director or Board member. The applicants will be selected by the Board and awarded a DSA at the National Convention and /or ARBA Conventions. No more than 3 awards will be given in one year. Any member in good standing may nominate any other member.
The following information must be included on the Application for the Distinguished Service Award:
- Name of person being nominated
- Address
- Number of years as ANDRC member
- List of memberships and/or offices held by the nominee in local, state, regional, or national clubs
